There are some new regulations regarding Sports Fishing in the Vrana Lake Nature Park. Please read the terms carefully and follow the rules of conduct:
With valid permit, fishing is allowed under the following terms: 1. Sport fishing is allowed at the whole Vrana Lake, except for the Ornithological Reserve (North-West part of the lake) and its 300 m wide surrounding lake zone; inside the Reserve fishing is exceptionally permitted only in the area of the camp Crkvine (from the camp's northern boundary to the port Crkvine next to the rangers' outpost)), from the shore. 2. Commercial fishing (nets, tridents, fish-traps, long linings) is forbidden, 3. Fishing from a moving boat (trolling) is not allowed, 4. Usage of utmost two pieces of fishing equipment (fishing poles) is allowed, with one hook per pole, 5. Besides artificial baits, it is permitted to use natural baits caught in the very lake, with maximum supplemental feeding on the fishing position in the total amount of 2 kg per day (boilie, grains, starchy foods, etc.); it is forbidden to introduce into the lake any organism from other waterbodies or fishponds, 6. Fishing in two different places at the same time is not allowed, 7. It is forbidden to leave fishing equipment unattended (fishing poles) while in use, 8. It is allowed to use a boat with engine power less than 3,75 kw, 9. Daily sport fishing refers to fishing during the period from one hour before sunrise until one hour after sunset, 10. Allowed daily amount of catch is 5 kg of fish. It is allowed to catch one trophy fish heavier than 5 kg per day, which (if kept) will be charged by kg for every kg above 5 kg: for catfish and pike 10 kn/kg, for carp 5 kn/kg, 11. The minimum size of fish allowed to be kept are: carp 40 cm, catfish 60 cm, pike 40 cm, grey mullet 20 cm, mullets 16 cm. All specimens under minimum sizes must immediately be returned to the water, 12. Prussian carp can be fished without limitations in weight and length, and caught specimens should not be returned to water (except for use as baits), 13. Eel in Vrana Lake is protected by law and it is forbidden to fish them, 14. Fishermen are obligated to keep record of caught fish and to show it to rangers on their request, 15. Visitors are obliged to put the waste on designated places for that purpose, 16. Lighting fire is forbidden; camping and overnight stay is allowed only on designated places for that purpose, 17. Hunting, fishing, sailing, swimming, and other recreational activities are forbidden in the Ornithological Reserve, 18. In the entire Vrana Lake Nature Park area it is forbidden to disturb or chase away birds. HERE you can find the Price list for the recreational fishing activities. |
